Gevorg Tarakhchyan has been called up to the Armenian national team to prepare for the last two matches of the European Zone qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup. The 23-year-old midfielder played for Urartu in the 2020/21 season, participating in 15 matches. In the 2021/22 season, he defended the colors of Sevan FC, representing the Gegharkunik region, and Noah, from where he left for military service (CSKA Moscow). Tarakhchyan last appeared on the green grass in a national team jersey in 2024. Currently, the young footballer plays for Pyunik, the 16-time champion of Armenia, eight-time cup winner, participating in 14 matches in all competitions this season and scoring three goals.
Gevorg often helps his teammates on the field by providing support during attacks.
