Famous Russian coach Yuri Semin commented on the status of PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov in the French giants. The Russian goalkeeper played for PSG in the Champions League match against Newcastle the day before. The match ended with a score of 1:1.
"Safonov played well against Newcastle, although the team did not win. His appearance in the starting lineup was surprising, but Chevalier's period was not particularly strong. That is why the substitution was made. PSG often changes players, but the fact is that Safonov deserved to spend significant time on the field," Semin said in an interview with a Championat correspondent.
