Benfica goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin posted a post after scoring a goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 8 match (4:2).
"My Champions League debut began with a match against Real Madrid. Five years have passed, and it's Real Madrid again. Only this time it's against Benfica. And with a different feeling on the pitch. Sometimes football allows you to do more than you plan. Even a goal. Thank you to everyone who supported us and was with us today," Trubin wrote on his personal social media page.
Trubin became the first goalkeeper in history to score a goal in European competitions.
Real Madrid scored 15 points from eight Champions League matches and failed to advance to the round of 16. Benfica finished in the play-off zone with nine points.
