Chelsea defender Trevor Chalobah has spoken about the defeat against Arsenal in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final (0:1, 2:4).
"It's really a shame we didn't make it to the final. It was a chance to get to another final and win another trophy, but it was down to the little things in attack. I think there weren't many chances in the game and we did a very good job of neutralising them, especially in the first half."
They had a chance at the end of the game, but the boys played well. It was all about the little things. We followed the game plan. We tried to attack at the end of the game, but it didn't work. We have to stay positive and not let this affect us so that we can continue the good work.
"Arsenal didn't create many chances, they didn't do us much harm in the latter stages of the game. It was the little things that we needed to improve on - finishing and taking shots. We needed to take more shots, but Arsenal's defence is difficult to break through, that's something we can learn from. We need to keep our spirits up and keep moving forward," Chalobah said, according to Chelsea's official website.
