Martin Odegaard comments on knee injury

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard suffered an injury during the 1-1 draw with Brentford in the 26th round of the Premier League. Although the midfielder was able to finish the match, his participation in the upcoming matches remains in doubt. The Scandinavian international will definitely miss today's FA Cup 1/16 final match against Wigan Athletic.

"I tried to block the ball as it was coming down, but instead I hit an opponent lightly. As a result, I overextended my leg, which caused a pinch in my knee. I was able to continue playing, but on Friday morning my knee was in severe pain. Of course I was worried, but fortunately it doesn't look that bad," Odegaard was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

The medical staff will conduct a detailed examination in the coming days. Based on the results, a decision will be made on the timing of the Norwegian's return to the field.
