On February 24, four more clubs were announced to have qualified for the round of 16 of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League season.
After the second legs of the play-off round of the European Cup main competition, English Newcastle United, Norwegian Bodo-Glimt, Spanish Atletico Madrid and German Bayer Leverkusen advanced to the 1/8 finals. The remaining play-off matches will be held on Wednesday, and the results will determine all 16 teams that will advance to the next round. Atalanta will play Borussia Dortmund (the first leg ended with a score of 0-2), PSG will play Monaco (the first leg: 3-2), Real Madrid will play Benfica (the first leg: 1-0), and Juventus will play Galatasaray (the first leg: 2-5).
Earlier, according to the results of the league stage, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Sporting, Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern had advanced to the 1/8 finals. The draw for the 1/8 finals will take place on Friday, February 27.
