Real Madrid defender Raul Asensio, who was hospitalized after the 2025/26 Champions League play-off second leg (2:1) against Benfica, has addressed the fans.
"Thanks for the support. It was just scary, everything is fine. Let's move on to the next stage, Hala Madrid," Asensio wrote on social media.
Recall that in the 77th minute of the match, Asensio collided violently with teammate Eduardo Camavinga. This happened during an aerial attack on the opponent's field. The Frenchman was fine, but the Spaniard was unable to get up on his own. Asensio was replaced by Austrian David Alaba. In addition, Raul left the field on a stretcher.
