Former Lille, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Belgium international Eden Hazard has shared his memories of the injury that forced him to end his career at the age of 32. In November 2019, Hazard, then playing for Los Blancos, suffered the injury after a collision with PSG defender Thomas Meunier.
"I was in great shape and then Thomas Meunier injured me and ruined everything. I had a similar fracture two or three years ago in a game for Chelsea. I recovered from the injury and then I broke the same ankle again against Levante. That's when the problems started," Hazard was quoted as saying by Madrid Xtra on social media.
