Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has praised midfielder Bruno Fernandes' performance after the 3-1 Premier League win over Aston Villa. He provided two assists during the game, setting a club record for assists in a single Premier League season.
"Bruno has been playing very well for a long time now. He can make a difference. He has good statistics and is praised for his passes, but for me the team is more important. For me it doesn't matter who scores, the important thing is that we win. It shows how important he is. He was important for us today. Bruno had so many dangerous chances to score or provide an assist. He gives 100% in training and in games. The pass to Matheus [Cunha] was a great finish to a great game overall," Carrick told the Red Devils' official website.
