Former Liverpool captain and midfielder Steven Gerrard has spoken about striker Mohamed Salah's imminent departure from the club.
"You have to buy a player who will bring in a lot of profit, otherwise you won't replace him. To replace Salah you need a player of the highest level, one of the three or four best wingers in the world, because Mo was that," Gerrard was quoted as saying by Goal.
Salah had previously announced that this season would be his last for the English club. The Egyptian winger has been with the Merseysiders since 2017. Salah has made 310 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 189 goals and providing 92 assists.
