Atletico Madrid and Spain midfielder Marcos Llorente has revealed where he wants to end his professional career.
"I want to finish my career at Atletico. I want to stay longer at the club and I hope to reach an agreement on a contract extension. I feel valued at this club. But I can't imagine myself playing after the age of 35," Llorente was quoted as saying by Fabrizio Romano X on his social media page, referring to Sport.es.
The 31-year-old Llorente is a product of Real Madrid's youth system. He has progressed through the club's youth system and has also played for the senior team, where he has won two Champions League titles and one Club World Cup. Marcos has also won the UEFA Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. In the summer of 2019, the midfielder joined Atletico Madrid for €30 million. Llorente has played 291 games for the "mattress makers", scoring 36 goals and providing 43 assists, as well as winning the Spanish league title.
