Former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he never considered himself an exceptional professional. He noted that during his coaching career he had a lot of work and questions to answer, and he did not always know how to act in a given situation.
"When I was a coach, I never considered myself a great professional. I never did, and that's the truth. Every day I had so much to do, so many questions in my head, and I didn't always know what to do. How could I know?"
"If people said that the rivalry between me and Pep Guardiola, who I consider the best in the world, was exceptional, then of course that means that I am also a pretty good coach. I knew that, but I never fully understood it. I am no longer a coach, and, wow, it turns out that I was actually good," Klopp was quoted as saying by TV2.
Klopp managed Liverpool from October 2015 to January 2024, succeeding Brendan Rodgers. During his tenure, Klopp achieved significant success with the club, including the Champions League and Premier League titles.
