Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has commented on the situation regarding the team's striker Romelu Lukaku's refusal to return to the club.
"Romelu decided not to return when we asked him to and stayed in Belgium to assess his injury. The club must always come first. We will take the appropriate measures," journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano was quoted as saying on the journalist's social media.
As previously reported, the Belgian striker has left the national team camp and started individual training with a personal trainer. This season, Lukaku has played seven games for Napoli in all competitions, scoring one goal. The striker missed most of the season due to an injury he suffered in the summer.
