Former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb has spoken about Arsenal's Premier League title ambitions for the 2025/26 season. Mikel Arteta's team secured the title early after 37 games.
"They deserved it. I think Arsenal have been playing great, high-quality, effective football for the last two or three seasons. It's just always been a bit of a let-down. Sometimes Liverpool have been luckier, sometimes Manchester City have been luckier. I think Arsenal just deserved it this season."
"Many people criticized them for being too boring, conceding too many goals from corners. What do you think about that?"
"You see, sometimes you have to play like that to win a title. We tried to play beautiful football, giving our all in every game. And what's the point? We never won a title with Arsenal. And now, suddenly, we are champions after a not-so-impressive season," Gleb said during a broadcast on the Fonbet YouTube channel.
