Lille striker Jonathan David has announced his departure from the club at the end of the season. The 25-year-old Canadian announced his decision on social media. David's contract with the French club runs until June 30, 2025.
Earlier it was reported that a number of European clubs are interested in the services of the striker, who has played 48 matches this season, scored 25 goals and provided 12 assists. According to media reports, the Spanish “Barcelona” and the leading clubs of the English Premier League, including “Manchester United”, are interested in inviting Jonathan David.
Jonathan David joined Lille from Belgian side Gent in August 2020 for a fee of €27 million. Transfermarkt values the player at €45 million.
