Simone Inzaghi has left his position as head coach of Inter Milan. The Milanese club announced on June 3 that they had terminated their cooperation with the 49-year-old Italian by mutual consent. The decision was made during a meeting between Simone and the club's management.
"On behalf of our shareholder Oaktree and the entire club, I would like to thank Simone Inzaghi for the work he has done, the passion he has shown and the sincerity he has spoken with today, which has led to the mutual decision to part ways. Only when we are fighting together to achieve success day by day is such a sincere dialogue as took place today possible," said Inter president Giuseppe Marotta.
Recall that Simone Inzaghi took over as Inter head coach in the summer of 2021. Under his leadership, the Internazionale won Serie A, won the Coppa Italia twice, the Italian Super Cup three times, and lost twice in the Champions League finals: in 2023 to Manchester City (0:1) and in 2025 to PSG (0:5).
Earlier, rumors circulated on the Internet that the coach would head the Saudi Al-Hilal.
