Armenian national team goalkeeping coach and former Zenit goalkeeper Roman Berezovsky told Match TV that defender Nair Tiknizyan could be in line to move to a higher-level European club after moving to Crvena Zvezda.
Earlier, in an interview with Match TV, Lokomotiv board member Valery Filatov confirmed that Tiknizyan is moving to Serbian Red Star.
"Nair is an ambitious person, he wants to have more playing time. He didn't have that in Lokomotiv. He probably sees Crvena Zvezda as a transition point from Lokomotiv to a more serious European club. The Serbian club is closer to Europe, plays in international tournaments. Everything is in Tiknizyan's hands," Berezovsky said in an interview with Match TV.
Tiknizyan is 26 years old, in the 2024/25 season the midfielder participated in 33 matches in all competitions, became the author of two goals and one assist. Earlier he told reporters that his playing time in “Lokomotiv” is not enough for him, and therefore after the end of the season he intends to ask the club management to release him. The midfielder’s contract with the “red-greens” is valid until the summer of 2026.
