Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has explained why he did not field Real Madrid's Brazilian winger Rodrigo Goes in the first round of the Spanish La Liga against Osasuna. The match, which took place in the Spanish capital Madrid, ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the Royal Club.
"Rodrigo didn't play today and that was my decision. It's just one game, you shouldn't judge by that. Rodrigo is in my plans," Alonso was quoted as saying by Spanish publication AS.
Let us recall that during the game, the Spanish specialist made four changes in three halves: first, Daniel Carvajal and Franco Mastaniuno entered the field instead of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Brahim Diaz, then Gonzalo Torres replaced Vinicius Junior, and at the end of the game, Daniel Ceballos entered the field, and Arda Guler went to rest.
Earlier it was reported that Rodrygo could leave the Madrid club.
