PSG head coach Luis Enrique has spoken out about the penalty his striker Ousmane Dembele missed in the second round of the French Ligue 1 match against Angers (1:0). This episode caused a heated reaction among Parisian fans, who believed that Vitinha should have approached the ball.
"Don't worry, I'm the boss here. I can pick any player."
"Will Dembele remain a penalty taker? We have many players who can take penalties and we will overcome that without any problem," Luis Enrique said at a press conference.
In the first two rounds of the new Ligue 1 season, PSG won two games, both 1:0. On August 13, the Parisians also defeated the English "Tottenham" in a dramatic match (2:2, 4:3 on penalties) in the UEFA Super Cup.
