Tomorrow, August 28, Yerevan's NOAH will host Ljubljana's Olimpija in the second leg of the UEFA Conference League qualifying play-off round. Let's recall that in the first leg of the confrontation, Sandro Perkovic's men won the away game 4:1. The goals for the Yerevan club were scored by Marin Iakolis and Oulad Omar, who scored a hat-trick.
Olimpia Ljubljana is the successor of the Ilirija Football Club, which was founded in 1911. The 114-year-old club plays its home matches at the Stožice stadium, which has a capacity of 16,038. Led by Erwin van de Looy, the club is an eight-time Slovenian champion/cup winner.
Olimpia's main rival is Maribor. The confrontation between these two clubs is called the "Eternal Derby". The Slovenian club has two nicknames: "Green and White" and "Dragons". The club's home team is called the "Green Dragons".
