In the first match of the semi-final round of the Armenian Cup, Ararat-Armenia hosted the Armenian champion/cupholder, Noah. These teams also met each other in the final of the previous cup tournament, where Noah won 3:1.
At the start of the match, both teams showed active football, but Ararat-Armenia gradually lost its vigilance after a missed goal, which occurred in the 25th minute of the match. Helder Ferreira, taking advantage of the mistake of the "Black and Whites" in the opponent's penalty area, directed the ball to Nardin Mulahuseynovich, who shot into the goal defended by Arman Nersisyan (1:0).
In the second half, the battle was more heated, the competing teams were left with ten players each, Kamo Hovhannisyan and Nathanael Seyntini were sent off. In the second half, “Noah” was much more active, constantly putting pressure on the champion/cupholder of Armenia, “Ararat-Armenia”, but Arman Nersesyan was able to save his team.
Thus, thanks to the only goal of Nardin Mulahusejnovich, "Noah" wins in a hotly contested match against "Ararat-Armenia" in the first leg of the semi-final round of the Armenian Cup. The return match will be held on April 29, within the framework of which the "Urartu" and "Andranik" pairs will compete for a place in the final. Let us recall that the first leg of the confrontation ended with a score of 1:1.
