Real Madrid and Brazil national team player Vinicius Junior has spoken about how he has dealt with criticism since moving to the Royal Club.
"When I moved to Real Madrid, everyone said I wouldn't play, that I wouldn't score any goals, that I wouldn't win, but in the end I overcame all the criticism."
"They said I was expensive because I cost 45 million, but in the end I cost the club very little considering everything I've achieved. The president and the fans adore me," Vinicius Junior was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo.
It was previously reported that Benfica manager Jose Mourinho, who is close to being appointed to Real Madrid, is planning to get rid of Vinicius during the team's restructuring - no player would be completely safe from sale if the coach returns.
