As part of the fifth round of the Armenian Premier League, Armenian Cup winner Noah hosted Yerevan's Ararat.
Noah won 1:0 at home against CSKA in the fourth round, which was Pablo Garcia's first match as head coach. Ararat lost to Pyunik 0:2 in the previous match.
At the beginning of the match, “Noa” Portuguese striker Helder Ferreira shot twice at the goal defended by Anzimati Abudu, the latter managed to save his team, but in the 20th minute of the match, 29-year-old Ferreira opened the score (1:0), after a pass from Gor Manvelyan. Having received the status of the winner, “Noa” continued to demonstrate attacking football and fourteen minutes before the end of the first half, Helder Ferreira doubled his team’s advantage (2:0) by scoring a double. In the added time of the first half, Gor Manvelyan scored with a free kick, scoring his second goal in the current championship against “Ararat”.
In the second half, there was an impression that the teams' game did not achieve the qualities that football fans wanted to see, the reason being the adverse weather conditions, as a result of which the match was stopped at the end of the first half, but Zaven Khudaverdyan, who came on as a substitute in the 68th minute of the match, made the score 4:0. The 19-year-old Khudaverdyan scored his second goal in five games in the 2026/27 season.
Thus, "Noah" achieved a large advantage over "Ararat" and with 15 points scored was leading the Armenian Premier League standings, "Ararat" is in tenth place with three points. Let's add that today another match of the fifth round took place where "CSKA" celebrated an away victory over "Gandzasar" of Kapan with a score of 3:0.
