In the last match of the third round of the Armenian Premier League, Armenian Cup winner Noah hosted Yerevan's Alashkert.
Both teams started their journey in the UEFA Conference League: Noah started their campaign in the second qualifying round, as the current cup holder, and won a two-legged tie against Moldovan Zimbru 3:2, then in the third round they met Swiss Sion and lost a two-leg tie 3:4. Alashkert faced Kazakh Elima in the first qualifying round, over whom they won in a penalty shootout (6:5), then they played Romanian CFR Cluj, where they lost 1:4 on aggregate.
In the first half, the teams exchanged attacks, according to AFSCORE statistics, "Noah" had possession of the ball 58/42% of the time, attacks 21:13. "Noah" did not allow to show their typical football (high-pressure game) in the early part of the match.
After Gor Manvelyan's free kick in the 31st minute of the match, the ball bounced out of bounds, after which the home team failed to score a corner kick, which was defended by Arsen Beglaryan.
In the first half, "Noah" organized most of its attacks from the right wing. In the 39th minute of the match, Gor Manvelyan almost killed the guests' goal, and at the last moment Beglaryan neutralized the danger.
In the last ten games between the teams, six matches ended in a victory for Noah, two games were won by Alashkert, and two more ended in a draw.
In the first half, “Noah” had a noticeable advantage, in response to which “Alashkert” defended well, there were also yellow cards in the first 45 minutes, and head coaches Sandro Perkovich and Vahe Gevorgyan were also warned. At the start of the second half, “Noah” was on the verge of the guests’ penalty area, but there were no sharp attacks and in the 59th minute of the match, as a result of the three-way cooperation of Gor Manvelyan, Helder Ferreira and Marko Lazetić, “Noah” opened the score (1:0), the 22-year-old football player scored the opponent’s goal for the second time in the current championship, Lazetić had previously scored the goal of “Syunik”.
In the 79th minute of the match, Farajola, moving forward on the left flank of the attack, tried to address the ball to Karen Nalbandyan, but the guest captain was unable to receive the ball, after which, as a result of the coordinated actions of the Noah defenders, the ball did not reach goalkeeper Artur Koneglian. Aram Khamoyan has his own place in this episode.
Thus, the team led by Sandro Perkovic celebrates its third victory in the current championship.
