As part of the second round of the Armenian Premier League, Yerevan's Pyunik faced off against Charentsavan's Van at home.
In the previous round, the "Pomegranates" measured their strength with "Urartu" where a draw was recorded (2:2), while "Van" lost at home to the championship newcomer "Sardarapat" with a score of 1:4.
The Yerevan team had the advantage at the start of the match, and in the 13th minute of the match, after a pass from Karlen Hovhannisyan, Iasonas Pikis, bypassing the opponent's defenders in a power struggle, scored the goal (1:0).
In the 40th minute of the match, after a throw-in, Viti passed the ball to Karlen Hovhannisyan, who doubled his team's lead (2:0).
In the second half, Pyunik had possession 67/33% of the time, taking seven shots on goal, allowing their opponent to take three shots.
