Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is currently in charge of the US national team, has spoken about the situation at the London club.
"This is really sad. I love Tottenham very much, it will always be an important part of my life as a manager and as a person. This is very sad because I know how much the people inside the club and the fans are suffering.
"When I was there, I tried to explain my vision. We were in a fantastic situation because we had finished building the stadium and the stadium and had moved to Wembley to play. At the same time, we were incredibly competitive. Every season was a victory because, despite all the circumstances we were struggling with, we went 18 months without achieving anything. That was a Premier League record," Pochettino was quoted as saying by ESPN.
After the 34th round, Tottenham Hotspur is in 18th place in the English Premier League standings with 34 points.
