The 94 kg weightlifters entered the fray on the 6th day of competition at the ongoing European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi, Georgia.
Armenia's representative Ara Aghanyan had three successful attempts in the snatch. He lifted 167 kg, 172 kg, and 175 kg. Aghanyan won the silver medal in this exercise. In the clean and jerk, Aghanyan lifted 200 kg and 206 kg. He is third in this form.
With a combined result of 381 kg, Ara Aghamyan became the silver medalist of the European Championship. Aghamyan receives the title of vice-champion of the ancient world for the third time in his career. Let us remind you that today the women's 86 kg weight category will be on the stage, where Armenia will be represented by Liana Gyurjyan and Emma Poghosyan.
