At the European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi, Georgia In the 77 kg weight category, Alina Sukiasyan lifted 96 kg and 100 kg in the snatch. In the clean and jerk, she lifted 120 kg. With a combined result of 220 kg, she is 14th.
Anna Amroyan performed unsuccessfully in the snatch, not having any successful approach. In the clean and jerk, she lifted 125 kg, 133 kg, 136 kg. In this exercise, she became the gold medalist, setting a new European Championship record in the snatch. Amroyan did not have a result in the doubles.
On the next day of the competition, the 88 kg weightlifters entered the fray. Rafik Harutyunyan from the Armenian team snatched 160 kg. In the clean and jerk, he lifted 195 kg. With a combined result of 355 kg, Harutyunyan is 7th in the European Championships.
Tomorrow, April 24, Armenia will be represented on the 94 kg men's competition stage by Ara Aghayan, while in the evening, the 86 kg women's competition will continue on the Batumi stage. Armenia will be represented in this weight category by Liana Gyurjyan and Emma Poghosyan.
