Former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has weighed in on whether former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could take over at Real Madrid. Los Blancos were previously reported to be interested in the German coach, who is currently the head of football operations at Red Bull.
"Jurgen likes to develop and build. He works within a certain system. Real Madrid is different. Real Madrid is made up of individual personalities, superstars who categorically refuse to submit to any imposed concept. We saw that with Xabi Alonso. It's about whether the coach has respect, whether he can connect with the players, whether he can work with the stars and convince them of the need for the system he intends to use," Kahn was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Germany.
