Barcelona and Spain midfielder Lamine Yamal has stated that he is not worried about the World Cup, as football is his life's work.
“Are you nervous about the World Cup?” “I would be nervous if I didn’t know how to do something. For example, if I were looking for another job. I’ve never worked anywhere other than football, I would probably do a bad job. But, at the end of the day, playing football is what I’ve done my whole life,” Yamal was quoted as saying by The Touchline on social media.
18-year-old Lamine Yamal has been included in the final Spanish squad for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Spain will play in Group H against Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
