Real Madrid are considering three candidates for the right-back position following the departure of team captain Daniel Carvajal, according to journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.
According to the source, Inter Milan's Dutch midfielder Denzel Dumfries and Tottenham Hotspur's Spanish defender Pedro Porro are considered Real Madrid's main candidates. Another Spaniard, Sporting Lisbon full-back Ivan Fresneda, is also considered a backup option and scouts have been sent to monitor him.
Carvajal is a product of Real Madrid's youth system. The current captain of the Royal Club has played for the first team continuously since the summer of 2013. In May, he announced his retirement. Last season, he played 22 games in all competitions. In total, he played 451 games for Real Madrid, scoring 14 goals and providing 66 assists.
