Former Bayern Munich and Brazil defender Dante has been appointed head coach of the Munich team's under-23 team, the club announced on its official website.
"I am extremely excited about this challenge at my former club Bayern Munich and would like to thank the management for their trust in me. Our sports center is home to many talented young players, and this will be their first experience at this level. I want to provide them with the best support at this important stage and help them get closer to their goal of becoming professional footballers. I look forward to working with the players, the entire staff and the management," Dante was quoted as saying by the Bayern press service.
Dante played for the Munich club from 2012 to 2015. With the team, the Brazilian won three German championships, two German Cups and one German Super Cup. He also won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup with Bayern.
