Former England midfielder and Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham, along with American actor Tom Cruise, were in attendance at the United States' 4-1 victory over Paraguay, marking the Stars and Stripes' debut at the 2026 World Cup. The teams played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, USA.

In the seventh minute, Paraguayan midfielder Damian Bobadilla scored an own goal. In the 29th minute, American striker Folarin Balogun scored his team's second goal, but it was disallowed for offside. In the 31st minute, Balogun doubled the Americans' lead. In the 45th+5th minute, Balogun scored his second goal, increasing his team's lead. Midway through the second half, Paraguay pulled one back through Mauricio, and just before the end of the game, Giovanni Reyna scored the Americans' fourth goal.
