Norway national team head coach Stole Solbakken spoke about the 2026 World Cup. Norway will play in Group I with France, Senegal and Iraq.
"I don't think we're a dark horse that can go all the way. I think we're a dark horse in the sense that on a good day we can beat a stronger opponent. But to say we're a dark horse for the entire tournament is very wrong."
For Norway, this World Cup is an opportunity to prove ourselves, to show the world that we play, perhaps, a different style of football than before, and that we are an attacking team with good players who work hard for each other.
"My ideal scenario? I won't talk about it because my dreams are my own. But I hope we can get the most out of the team and on a good day we can beat anyone," Solbakken said, according to FIFA's official website.
