As part of the sixth round of the Armenian Premier League, Yerevan's Alashkert hosted Charentsavan's Van.
In the beginning of the match, Doni Massumo opened the score with a header for Vahe Gevorgyan's team. After gaining the status of the winner, "Alashkert" continued its ball game, attacking the opponent's goal twice but could not send the ball beyond the goal line. Karen Nalbandyan tried to send the ball with the outside of his foot into the goal defended by Danila Bokov, which did not work, but after Arden Beglaryan's pass, Nalbandyan, Faraola Massumo, as a result of the three-way cooperation, the latter became the author of a double, making the score 2:0, doubling his team's advantage. The author of the first goal assist was David Terteryan. The team captain Karen Nalbandyan came to the aid of the Congolese representative for the second time.
In the second half, "Alashkert" continued to put pressure on the opponent and in the match, Masumo scored a hat trick, tripling his team's advantage (3:0). It should be noted that Momo increased his number of goals to five and leads the list of top scorers in the Armenian Premier League. Gevorg Tarakhchyan from "Pyunik", Helder Ferreira from "Noa" and Levon Petrosyan from "Sardarapat" scored four goals each.
At the end of the match, "Alashkert" calmed down the pace of the game a little due to the score on the scoreboard. Overall, the home team played a good match. According to sportsworld.am, the best player of the match was Dani Masumo. Let's remind you that he became the author of a hat trick, the latter sent two goals to the opponent's goal in the first half and another one in the second half. In the added time of the match, Ejike made the score 4:0, setting a new benchmark for "Alashkert". Let's add that in the current season, the team led by Vahe Gevorgyan had achieved a 3:0 advantage over its opponents in three of the five matches played.
Thus, the Yerevan team defeats the Charentsavan club by a large margin and consolidates its position in second place in the Armenian Premier League standings with 13 points. Van is in 12th place with one point.
