Athletic Bilbao have officially announced the appointment of Edin Terzic as head coach. The parties have signed a two-year contract, which is scheduled to last until the summer of 2028, the club's press service reported.
Terzic's last position was at Borussia Dortmund, where he served as assistant coach, head coach and technical director from 2018 to 2024. He also previously worked at West Ham and Besiktas.
Athletic Bilbao was previously coached by Ernesto Valverde, who has been at the club since 2022. He will leave at the end of the current season. Under his leadership, the team played 192 games: 91 wins, 43 draws and 58 losses.
