Villarreal have announced that they will part ways with coach Marcelino Toral at the end of the season.

Spanish club Villarreal have officially announced that coach Marcelino Toral will leave the team at the end of the current season. His contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026.

"A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marc, for everything you have done for this club and its fans. We wish you success in your future sporting endeavors," the club said in a post on X's social media.

Marcelino Toral will take over as Villarreal coach again in November 2023. He previously worked at Villarreal from 2013 to 2016, after which he coached Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and Marseille.

After 34 rounds of the Spanish La Liga, Villarreal is in third place in the standings with 68 points.
