Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the son of former Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has signed a contract with AZ Alkmaar after moving from Milan. The 19-year-old striker has been given the opportunity to continue his career at the Dutch club.
"Maximilian Ibrahimovic will have the opportunity to recover from a minor injury and then join the AZ youth team. It is not yet known when the 19-year-old striker will return to the field. When that happens, he will be given the opportunity to continue his development. The club believes that he can make a long-term contribution to the team," the Dutch club said in a statement.
Ibrahimović has been on loan at Ajax's youth team since January 2026, but injuries have limited him to just four appearances for the Amsterdam club. Maximilian is the eldest son of Zlatan Ibrahimović. His younger brother, Vincent, continues to play for Milan's youth team.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic played for Milan from 2010 to 2012, before returning to the club in January 2020 and playing until 2023.
